Natural Blitz

The Hong Kong Sprint 2005 was won by Natural Blitz (by Maroof out of Miiharo (by Bletchingly)), who provided trainer Derek Cruz with his first Group One win.

Sadly Silent Witness was announced as a non-runner.

In the race American filly Nicole's Dream displayed blistering speed in the first 600m. Natural Blitz took the lead with about half a mile to go and powered away to a one and three-quarter length win over Planet Ruler in a time of 57.60 seconds. It was a further half a length back to Able Prince in third, with Country Music in fourth. Hong Kong horses filled the first five places.

The quality field also included Cape of Good Hope, Chineur and Admire Max.

Natural Blitz was ridden by Glyn Schofield.
