Mosheen

The 2011 Crown Oaks was won by Mosheen by nine lengths over Dowager Queen and Roma Giaconda.

Mosheen was ridden by Danny Nikolic and trained by Robert Smerdon.

Ante-post favourite Atlantic Jewel was withdrawn from the race due to a hamstring injury.

Mosheen had not previously run over a mile but, in the absence of Atlantic Jewel, she stamped her class on the race and won by one of the biggest margins in recent times, having led from start to the finish.

Dowager Queen was distant second and did not appear to last the 2,500 metre trip.
Mosheen started at $5.

Mosheen''s sire was Fastnet Rock.
