Katsuragi Ace won the 4th Japan Cup in 1984.

Katsuragi Ace was ridden by K.Nishiura for trainer K.Domon.

Katsuragi Ace beat Bedtime, ridden by Willie Carson, and Symboli Rudolf, who won the Japan Cup the following year.

The strong field included Melbourne Cup winner Kiwi from New Zealand and Strawberry Road from Australia.
