John Oxx

John Oxx was on born 14 July 1950 in Ireland.

He is the son of very successful trainer John Oxx Sr, the winner of eight Classics.

John Oxx took out his licence in 1979 and has since trained very many Group 1 winners of the highest class, such as Sinndar (Epsom, Irish Derbies and Arc de Triomphe), King George winners Alamshar and Azamour as well as Ridgewood Pearl, winner of the Breeders'' Cup Mile.

He also trained Timarida who won Group 1 races on both sides of the Atlantic.

His principal patron is the Aga Khan, owner of Kastoria, winner of the 2006 Irish St Leger.
