The Hong Kong Derby 2011 was won by favourite Ambitious Dragon ridden by Maxime Guyon and trained by Tony Millard for owner Johnson Lam Pui Hung.

A crowd of 46,566 at Sha Tin saw Ambitious Dragon come with a strong late run to overpower the John Moore trained Xtension three quarters of a length in second with Let Me Handle It, trained by Caspar Fownes, four more lengths behind in third.
