Welcome to Great Racehorses of the World

HKIR in Hong Kong and a Golden Slipper prediction

1. Hong Kong update - Lord Kanaloa from Japan confirmed his status and the Worlds best sprinter by defending his Hong Kong Sprint title at Sha Tin in breathtaking fashion.

Lord Kanaloa, ridden by 2006 Melbourne Cup winning jockey Yasunari Iwata for trainer Takayuki Yasuda, was always travelling well from an unhelpful draw and, in the straight, pulled away imperiously from his rivals in a matter of strides and went on to win by five lengths as he slowed down at the post.

Sole Power ridden by Johnny Murtagh was second, while Frederick Engels took third under Zac Purton for trainer John Moore.

2. "Hyperion" (Robert Bishop) likes Risen From Doubt for the Golden Slipper in April at Rosehill.
