Singapore Derby 2010

The 2010 Emirates sponsored Singapore Derby (Group 1) over 10 furlongs on the Kranji turf for four year olds was won by Race Ahead on Sunday 11 July 2010.

Race Ahead was trained by Bruce Marsh and ridden by Opie Bosson.

Race Ahead beat mare New Rose Wood by three-quarters of a length. Race Ahead was wearing blinkers and started at $4.60 on the New South Wales Tote.

Intercept and Ravages were third and fourth.

Bruce Marsh had previously won the Singapore Derby when Hello And Goodbye won in 2005. He also won the Melbourne Cup as a jockey on Silver Knight in 1971.

New Zealander Bosson''s previous best victory in Singapore was the Singapore Gold Cup on Recast.
