Godolphin Mile 2006

Utopia, from Japan, made all under jockey Yutaka Take to win the 2006 Godolphin Mile (Group 2), sponsored by Saeed and Mohammed Al Naboodah Group, by four lengths.

Utopia was the second winner from Japan in the history of the Dubai World Cup carnival following Stay Gold’s win in the 2001 Dubai Sheema Classic.

Win River Win, from Turkey, came with a late run under Halis Karatas to take second place, a neck in front of Jack Sullivan.

Utopia was trained by Kojiro Hashiguchi.
