David Hayes

David Hayes was born in October 22 1962, the son of Australian training legend Colin Hayes.

His winners include the Melbourne Cup (Jeune ''94) and the Japan Cup (Better Loosen Up ''90) winners; a one-day record of six Group races in 1990 and over 1,000 wins among trainers'' premierships in Victoria and South Australia.

David moved to Hong Kong in 1995. David has sent out over 450 HK winners in ten years (winning two premierships), including Derby heroine Elegant Fashion and HK Sprint star All Thrills Too and Resfa.

He recently resumed training in Australia, with winners including Miss Finland in the Golden Slipper and the 2006 VRC Oaks, Tawqeet in the 2006 Caulfield Cup and Fields Of Omagh in the 2006 Cox Plate among others.
