Allez France

Allez France became France’s favourite post-war filly when the daughter of the 1965 hero Sea-Bird triumphed for Argentinean-born trainer Angel Penna by a head from Comtesse De Loir in 1974.

The previous year she had won both the French 1,000 Guineas and Oaks, before finishing two and a half lengths behind Rheingold in the 1973 Arc.
